CELERIAC SALAD (Kereviz Salatası)

We call both celery and celeriac with the same name in Turkish; kereviz. In this recipe, what we use is not the stalks of the vegetable but the potato-like root.


Ingredients:

  • Celeriac, 1 root
  • Walnuts, 100 g
  • Mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon
  • Mint, 1 teaspoon
  • Yogurt
  • Garlic, 2 cloves

  • Preparation:

  • Peel the outer layers of celeriac root and grate the remaining core.
  • Chop walnuts and mix with grated celeriac.
  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, diced garlic and mayonnaise. Add celeriac and walnuts into the bowl. Mix well with the yogurt.
  • Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle mint.
