PILAV WITH VEGETABLES

Although I like Pilav as it is, white and pure, I sometimes add some vegetables to cheer it up. Best matching vegetables are, in my opinion, peas, corn and some parsley.


Ingredients:
  • 150 g Rice
  • Peas, a small can
  • Corn, a small can 
  • Parsley
  • Butter, a tablespoon (and some for greasing)
  • Olive oil,  teaspoon

Preparation:
  • Grease a small pan, add peas, on a medium heat swirl a couple of times.
  • Prepare the pilav exactly as described before (click here).
  • Just before turning the heat off, add corn and peas and some chopped parsley.
  • Turn off the heat, put the lid on.
  • After 20 minutes give it a swirl and sprinkle remaining parsley and serve.
