CHICKEN SOUP (Tavuk Çorbası)

Chicken soup is equivalent to Calpol; it soothes throat, stops cough, maintain body temperature, and diminishes congestion. Plus, it satisfies your hunger. Even when your stomach refuses to work, chicken soup finds a way to convince it.

Ingredients:
  • 1 chicken breast
  • Flour, 2 tablespoons
  • Rice, half tablespoon
  • 200 grams yogurt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Garlic, 3 cloves

Preparation:
  • Boil the chicken in 1.5 liters of water for 10 minutes.
  • Take the chicken out on a plate and dice in cubes.
  • Add rice to the boiling water. 
  • When rice cooks (app. in 10 minutes), add the chicken back into the water.
  • In a bowl whisk yogurt, flour and egg yolk. Add this into the soup gradually by stirring continuously. 
  • Cook for 10 minutes on a low heat.
  • Add crushed garlic, continue cooking for 2 minutes and the soup is ready!
