BOREK WITH SODA WATER (Sodalı Börek)
Ingredients:
Preparation:
- 4 yufka (or 6 filo pastry sheets)
- 3 eggs
- 250 mL soda water
- 200 mL vegetable oil
- 200 g white cheese (or feta)
- Parsley
Preparation:
- Chop the parsley and crumble the cheese, mix them together.
- Whisk the eggs with oil.
- Glace an oven tray.
- Lay one layer of yufka and wipe with egg-oil mixture. (If using filo sheets, lay the second sheet as well and wipe with egg-oil.)
- Lay another yufka, pour parsley-cheese mixture, distribute evenly.
- Lay another yufka, wipe with egg-oil.
- Lay the final layer of yufka. (If using the filo sheets, again add one more layer, so that there will be 3 layers under and 3 layers over the cheese fillings.)
- Add soda water into the remaining egg-oil mixture, whisk all together and pour all over the borek.
- Leave it to rest for 30 minutes.
- Cook in 200°C for 30 minutes
